Every Goldings garment is made with its future in mind. Wherever the construction allows, provision is made for future alterations so the garment can continue to serve as the wearer's circumstances change.
As the original maker, Goldings is uniquely placed to advise on and undertake these alterations, ensuring the garment continues to meet the standards of the original commission.
This service is reserved for garments originally made by Goldings. We do not provide alteration services for garments made by other manufacturers.
Alteration work
A bespoke garment should continue to serve well beyond the day it is delivered. As circumstances change, Goldings can advise on considered alterations that preserve the garment's fit, correctness and appearance.
The workroom can assist with fit adjustments, rank or appointment changes, insignia updates and related uniform details, subject to the garment's original construction, cloth, trim and specification.
Assessment
Before any work is confirmed, each garment is assessed to ensure the alteration can be carried out accurately and in keeping with the standard of the original commission.
Once assessed, Goldings will confirm the work required, the expected timing and the appropriate next steps.
