WO1 follows the officer jacket; senior NCOs use embroidered cloth collar badges and junior NCOs the metal type. WO2 devices follow the appointment.
Footwear
Male WO1 Wellingtons; SNCO/JNCO George boots; spurs only with authorised overalls, never ordinary JNCO trousers. Female skirt and court shoes.
Shirt and waist garment
SNCO/JNCO white cotton shirt and bow tie with the matching jacket; Goldings waistcoat or the illustrated junior NCO cummerbund alternative. Closed WO1 officer pattern remains separate.
Legwear options
Choose the existing skirt, dress or female-cut trouser outfit, or The Light Dragoons Junior NCO Mess Trousers / The Light Dragoons Striped Overalls. These are alternative outfits, not additional garments to wear together. Retain any rank, appointment, occasion and pattern conditions; select footwear and fittings to match the chosen legwear.
Fittings & Lead Times
Measurements are taken and fittings overseen by Geoffrey Golding at the St Albans workroom, with each garment checked throughout the making process for fit, balance, finish and correct detail. Lead time is typically 8-12 weeks, depending on workshop capacity, fitting requirements and the date required.
